VENUE & TIME CHANGE! Doombient at TRVE has been moved to The Crypt on 17th St.! The next event now starts at 6 PM on Sunday, August 24th.
Every few months, we spent an afternoon at Denver’s premier heavy metal brewery, TVRE, playing live electronic, dark, cinematic, doom-y music. Unfortunately, TRVE closed this year, but they encouraged us to keep the doombient show going, so we are moving to an equally unique venue. We hope you join us as we celebrate our CMSS Doombient Album inspired by the TRVE events.
Local modular synthesists rotate sets with their unique setups while the rest enjoy sub brass dronescapes, full bar and kitchen (vegan options available, bubble gum tunes not). The event is free to attend and 21+.
Interested in learn more about modular synthesizers, come on down. Artists and fellow CMSS members will be on hand to answer questions and share insights into what goes into our modular synth rigs.

What to know about signing up to play. If you haven’t visited The Crypt, we encourage you to do so before applying. You should be able to set up and break down within 10 minutes. This event is a modular synth-centric event, but if you have a hybrid setup or use hardware, you will also be considered for play. Communication about the event will primarily take place on the CMSS Discord. Spots are limited, and we will confirm who is playing by August 3rd.
- Sets are 10 -15 minutes long.
- Must include some synth hardware
- Music should be slower, dark, ambient, and ominous (sorry, no noise)
